Whether you're hiking at sunrise, sitting around a BBQ with other families, or reflecting together during an evening halaqah beneath the stars, every part of the retreat has been planned to create memories that will remain long after the weekend ends.

Weekend Highlights

🌄 Fajr & Sunrise at Stanage Edge

There's something truly special about watching the sun rise over the Peak District. We'll begin Saturday morning with Fajr before enjoying a beautiful sunrise together, followed by a reflective Qur'an circle surrounded by some of England's most spectacular scenery.

🧗 Adventure Activities

Challenge yourself with an exciting day of outdoor activities led by experienced instructors.

Activities include:

• Rock climbing

• Abseiling

• Weaseling

Children under five will instead enjoy a visit to a local farm park with age-appropriate activities.

🌳 Explore Allah's Creation

Throughout the weekend we'll enjoy some of the Peak District's most famous locations, including walks around Stanage Edge and Bamford Edge, providing the perfect setting to appreciate the beauty of Allah's creation whilst spending quality time together as families.

🌙 Evenings Together

As the sun sets, the atmosphere changes.

Enjoy BBQ dinners, late-night stargazing, family games, board games and quizzes, creating opportunities to relax, laugh and build lasting friendships with other Muslim families.

📖 A Spiritual Weekend

At the heart of the retreat is the opportunity to reconnect with Allah.

Throughout the weekend there will be halaqahs, reminders and Qur'an circles designed to help us reflect, recharge spiritually and return home with renewed motivation for ourselves and our families.

Accommodation

We will be staying in Hathersage, perfectly located in the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Brothers and sisters will be accommodated in separate rooms, with children under the age of three able to stay with either parent.

Food

The retreat includes 7 meals, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the weekend together.

We will stop in Leicester to perform Jumu'ah before continuing our journey to the Peak District.

We aim to arrive back at Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy by approximately 8:00pm on Sunday 16th August.
